JICs making me grumpy, tying something new

Goodbye JIC...hello Mr. Tein. Bumpy as hell back roads and a long comute have brought me to this. Plus a little gravel and dirt capability will be nice. Springs and top hats should be arriving soon. Auto-X performance may be diminished however....

I still prefer the JICs. Life isn't too bad with 2 in front, and 4 in the back.

Some probably would, although they tend to throw you around on back roads..getting too old I guess. Have you tried the HGs? in comparison? I was reading this article wich kind of directed me to the HG's

[homer voice] MMMMM, Remote Shock Reservoirs....[/homer voice]

I'll be interested to see how those work! I'm still fine with my JICs, but admit the ride isn't for everyone

uhhh, yeah. you're definitely gonna have to give me a ride with those things. i am pretty jealous, but the type wagons are pretty darn tight too.

you should come to the track day at infineon on the 29th. a bunch of us are going to drive each other's cars to get a feel for some different suspension setups. i can show you how much better the type wagons are than the HGs.

now that you're not riding on jic's, can i get a pair of 6 kg/mm springs. i want to put the 6's in the front. right now, i'm riding with 5 in the front and 7 in the rear. at the autox's, i am lifting the inside rear tire, but i can get the rear to kick out at will.

How do the JIC HGs compare with Cusco 02Rs? I'm almost ready to change out my Ground Controls.

More info at Infineon on 6/28

uhhh, your HGs are just begging to do this drive https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...threadid=20378

if you go, i'll jack up the type wagons, put on the stock wheels and tires, and get STinky out there too.

Damn, I forgot that I was going to let you use those gilbert. I am selling them and forgot to set the 6kg aside for you. I will have to talk to the buyer to see if he needs them. I'll try and get this worked out.

the HGs are made by TEIN..not JIC..

HG is meant for Gravel

The Cusco 02Rs are setup for road racing and street use.

How come this off-road coilover setup uses stock-style springs, and not the smaller springs seen on many coilover kits?

What springs are you going to run?

Are these considered inverted struts?

Are they lightweight?

Is it a twin-tube design?

What is the piston diameter?

This kit looks very intriguing if it truly works well on-road and off...until now, I haven't been excited by any other coilovers on the market.
