Its that time again.. Zaino Detailing summer...

Ok as you've seen my posts before... I've done a few people car's on this board already.

Edit: Its too much work for $65 and i've changed it to $100 on every board.

Steps:
Wash with Dawn (to remove previous wax, oil, almost anything so it will be ready for the claybar)

Claybar (every part of the car including windows for the ultimate clean)

Wash with Z7

Z5 (swirl remover)

Z2 (final polish)

I only use microfiber washmitts and towels for the cars.

Includes vacuuming, windows, dusting of the dash, wheels cleaned and tires shined and optional dash/panel protectant (does not contain silicon so it will not be sticky or slippery)

Here is my number 510-552-7925

I do this at my house and i'm in the northern Fremont borderline Union City area. Please give me a call if you have any questions..

lbrblackwrx- I really hope you purchased a porter cable or something similiar and changed your views on detailing. There's no way you can work any product in as well as you can with a machine, let alone say they cause swirl marks.

Oh....yeah. True that. If you don't know what you're doing you can jack someone's paint up but there is no substitute for a properly used quality buffer with qality product. I have mad swirls to get out. MAD. and lovely yellow atmosphere crap as well. Sucks.

Jeff uses a buffer...I don't think his BLACK paint even knows what a swirl mark feels like.

It's true that zaino is best applied by hand and goes on and off super easy in this manner. It does not require buffing etc. like a good carnuba wax. As it is a synthetic sealer and not a polish by any means, Zaino doesnt do practically anything to hid swirls (being practically optically clear even the z-5) Thus, if you have swirls/scratches/water spots, zaino will magnify them. There are no fillers in zaino, thus no swirl reduction. To not hide swirls with fillers and oils which you cannot use with the zaino system, but to get rid of swirls, the absolute best way is with a buffer probably random orbital if you arent a pro, with a variety of pads and a good quality 2 or 3 step abrasive polish system depending on severity of the imprefections. I have heard nothing but good things about the menzerna (sp?) line and poorboys and lots of other companies make some good products. This paint prep step is essential before using the zaino system with a car that has seen some use. Sure you can do it by hand with other products, but the results are far harder to come by especially if not experienced in it. That being said, my car has not been washed since february and I will be zainoing it when i get home in the summer. Does anyone do polishing with a PC (dont have one) to remove swirls and scratches. please let me know. ps. check out autopia.org if you want to become obsessed with detailing.

i do have a PC to remove light scratches and such, i do use it for swirl marks as well and have changed my views, i was a bit ignorant when that was posted, i can admit my mistake... dan avon7 posts on every one of my threads trying to knock my work, maybe an inferiority complex? but its ok.. I will not respond to any remarks such as his, if you really are interested in this please PM me. Thank you.
