Thanks for posting that link, I'm in the process of getting some aftermarket seats and it was very helpful. I was wondering if you knew where I could get the resistors featured in that link...

And no people selling stock stuff going "It's from an STi, so its super rare and super valuable, I want a $1000 for it!"

radio shack does not have them. you have to get them from an electronics store.
i got mine here in dublin.

make sure you get 3.3 ohm, NOT 3.3 k ohm!

I think fry's might have them. they are like 10-50 cents each.

get 3.3 ohm 1 watt

For some reason I thought you meant Spanish Volkswagens when I saw the thread title.

Seats are tops for sure, but when you combine seats plus harness it's just amazing. Recaros have usually been my favorite, but only when they do not raise the seating position - I hate that. Those EVO Recaros in microfibre would rock. So far my fav stock seats in a car I have owned were the Konigs in my R32. And seat heaters freaking rock - one of my favorite useless options.

Yeah, but are those the stock seats or are they the Black V9 Spec-C seats for $80?

If he can get THOSE seats for $80 each. I'll take a set.

Thanks for the good link.

But "fooling" a safety system is not my idea of a good idea unless you're making a dedicated track car and always wearing a helmet in it.

Their is nothing wrong with "fooling" the system. It is just providing the proper amount of resistance, so that the airbag system thinks the airbag in the seat is still present. It will not affect any of the other airbags in the airbag system...it will jsut ensure that your airbag system is not disabled when any part of the system is not detected.

You could have the same issue if any part of the airbag system is not properly connected, even the clock if your Year Subie has the passenger airbag light in the clock pod.
