lol valid question. There's actually a set of wires under the jdm seats. I think they're just for signaling that the seatbelt is buckled or not. Some sets of mine came with them, some I just clipped off

that is actually not a good idea on modern cars... in fact, changing the seat is not really a good idea in general.

when i converted my wrx to a race car, i installed sparco's/

the ride was WAY more tolerable (no springs in seat)

and obviously it was inspiring when you take corners instead of wedging yourself against a door panel

this seems true, since they were crash tested with OEM seats, but i feel way safer wedged in a bucket seat than potentially flung around my cabin if a rollover happened.

like way safer, i still need some real restraints, as i use my seat belt now.

I know. I previously knew that the electrical connector was useless for my RS and that my RS didn't have side airbags and airbags in the seats so it was fine for my case. But for someone in Daniel's position it really is a personal choice if you want to use them and what if you get into an accident then have to explain it to the insurance co. ya know?

You can swap in the seat heaters quite easily actually. I installed my seat heaters in my WRX seats when I installed them in the Forester. I also swapped the airbag module so it would still be the stock Forester airbag. I don't see why they would be any less safe than the stock Forester seats as they still retain the side airbag and are OEM Impreza WRX seats anyway.

+1 on that,Daniel. After I installed my Corbeau TRS ( ex-Darkonion seat) in my Miata, it was like night and day. MUCH more support AND comfort. Perfect for my autocrossing.

Agree +100 aha I had a zeta2 in my car for a while and they feel completly better then the springy feel of stock seats. Specially on long drives if you have coilovers.

Daniel, nice to see you finally got those installed. Those are some very nice seats and super comfy compared to the stock USDM seats.

Someday I hope to find the V9 Spec-C seats like Rescuer's. Those are teh secks!

To the people saying that replacing the seats is not safe is BS. I'm 6'6.5 and with the stock seats at the lowest setting, I have about an INCH TOPS of head room, so a rollover = broken neck. Now the seats are lower and hold me in place like a true racing seat, I'm not going to be flung around like I would with the stock seats.

If you dont belive me, you can drive my STi and feel for yourself.
