I used to frequent that place in the early 90s with my IHC Scout II and Samurai w/Toy Axles.... people used to laugh at my sammy until I would spank their high $$ truck in front of their friends.... ahahhahahaha..
But back to the vehicross, it's got desirable characteristics for a wheeler.. dent resistant sides, limited slip, short wheel-base, plus Torque on Demand, a v6, good approach/departure angle, etc etc

And don't get me wrong, limited slip is great, but nothing quite beats a locker, well, except for a solid/welded diff. The torque on demand feature is cool. All of that aside, the only thing that matters is the answer to a single question, "What do you want to do with it?"

Well, most trucks aren't suited for things like the mini-Rubicon. I know a well built Toyota (not lots of money, just well planned) has no trouble with it. You want about as much clearance as you can get, otherwise you'll be bumpin' and grindin' against those rocks... Not good.
