ya ive been saving my money for something like this, ive never bought an ipod or anything, no psp nothing...i need to splurge...but i hate touch screen.

why cant they just glue a psp to the iphone? and put a qwerty keypad on it?

 

Hey just wanted to know what made you decide to choose the touch over the nano 8G which is $100 below the touch or why not the classic 80G for $50 less? My guess would be for the screen but just curious.

Oops yeah I meant AT&T. The reason why I didnt get any other ipod models was for multiple reason. I don't even have 8g's of music, I like having internet access and touchscreen. I have friends all over the world, the world clock is a nice feature. The calender is also something I was in dire need for.

i'm thinking about getting one as well. reasons for me to get it is so i can have a WiFi device in my pocket, and i can listen to my music from my computer through WiFi anywhere in the house. reason not to get iphone for me, i don't want a 2 year contract.

 

I got it at apple in palo alto. It was the last one they had and I already had tried valley fair.

 

I got the new 8GB nano to replace my ipod video. It's freakin small and I love it.

I thought about the Touch, but it's too big (tall) and I knew that I'd quickly get bored with wifi internet access. There's no camera on it either. The interweb isn't that important to me to get an oversized ipod (no offense to the OP).

 

the ipod touch only works with wifi? I have an iPhone, and I rarely get spots with wifi...besides home, work and the occasional coffee shop...just wondering...and don't you need the wifi/Internet connection for the maps?

 

oh and do you have the iTunes on there yet? No updates for the iPhone yet..

 

no, the ipod touch can work on it's own. say you have all your music in your computer and you're moving around the house. you can use wifi to play the music in your library on your main comp through the touch.

 

i hacked my wifes i-phone, we now have gps navi on it =)

as well as nintendo , FTP clients, and all sorts of fun stuff =)
