Has anyone had all there songs magically get deleted from their ipod and were able to undelete them? A coworker of my girlfriend's had this happen and I am trying to undelete the data and just thought I would throw it out there before I get deep in to this. Plus in case this happens to my girlfriends ipod in the future I know how to do it.

 

What generation iPod? Just wondering.

And sorry, don't know of any recovery utility.

 

4th gen I think? I don't know.

looks like since its justa PCMCIA hard drive I can use any data recovery tool. Found a few, might have one that is able to get the files back, we'll see.

 

dang, nither utility worked. Maybe I will try norton or something.
Any suggestions?

you think it got deleted because she tried to pull music from an iTunes that her ipod wasn't registered to? i heard that's what happens when you try to hook up your ipod to...say your friend's comptuer to get music.

WOW! great find! i knew apple had "DRM" although I didn't know the term for it, but what I didn't know is that there was something to get around it. thanks. =)

 

That happened to my sisters ipod mini. she has had nothing but problems with it. its supposedly a pretty common problem. She has had it crash & lose all her songs MULTIPLE times. for the past 7 months it wouldnt even turn on. i think she gave up on it because she has already RMA'd it 3 times!!

i'm not sure there is a way to recover the data. ipods are crap

 

I still like the ipod, my girlfriend likes hers.

I found an old recovery CD in one of my boxes of computer stuff. Recovered everything, but none of the songs were even playable. I will try cracking them once I get home.
