The Chronic dev team finally released the Greenpois0n jailbreak that uses the ShAtTeR exploit.

I read somewhere that because Geohotz used a different exploit, dev team didn't want 2 exploits to be out there for apple to fix. Then Dev team switched Greenpois0n to use the same exploit that GeoHotz used.

Either way, I'll be looking forward to trying one of them out on teh ipad.

or, limera1n, which was released two days ago. and does a better cleaner job on your iphone 4.

Shatter is the exploit that allowed the dev team to make the 4.1 jailbreak. Shatter was given by it's creator to the chronic dev team to make greenpois0n... I've subscribed to the chronic dev teams twitter, so that's directly from them.

 

The greenpois0n iOS 4.1 jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G/3G and iPad has now been released by Chronic Dev Team. Finally! The greenpois0n jailbreak was originally supposed to be released on 10/10/10 at 10:10:10 AM GMT but was delayed due to limera1n being released. The greenpois0n jailbreak team had to save the SHAtter exploit, and instead use the USB bootrom exploit that Geohot used in the limera1n jailbreak.
