hey i just got the iphone. so far, not satisfied. i was wondering if anyone els had it and has any general tips for it. also, does anyone know of how to make ringtones? like transfer songs and use it as a ringtone without having to buy them from itunes? thanks !

you can make ringtones by downloading a simple program and uploading the song in M4R Format into I-tunes, i do it to my wifes all the time.

Not to mention apple released the software the I-phone runs on, so there will be TONS of aftermarket support soon to be released. All in time, All in time.

 

you know the one thing that i really hate about apple is that the hardware is all there and great but they always dumb things down with software.. like the itv if im not mistaken it has a 7900 in it and a sound processor thats able to handle 7.1 setups but no they only make it able to handle 5.1 i don't like macs they **** me off on how hard they make it to mod and to make better they are very closed

The iPhone now has an application that takes a few thousand authorized tracks from iTunes and lets you use them as ring tones. You can use whatever portion of the song you want and use up to 30 seconds. I thought that was a cool addition.

The iPhone seems more like a fashion statment than anything else though. I'd rather get a crackberry

so once you get a iphone you have to sign a 2 year contract right. That sucks, i want a iphone with no contract.

Nope- you can get an iphone on a pay as you go plan if you want.

 

i played around with one last week at an at&t store.

like the form factor.

no 3g
at&t only
need graffiti like on palm (after YEARSSSSSSSS of using it)
