Insurance Question
Hey guys,
This doesn't EXACTLY relate to subarus, BUT, I've had a 2006 Honda CBR 600 F4i for a couple years now with Geico but I am in the process of purchasing a used 2009 Honda CBR 600RR from a dealership for a price of $6,899, lowered from $10K.
My concern and question is, after I sell my F4i and purchase the 600RR, will my insurance go higher because of the "new" bike or will the insurance on the 600RR be the same as if I had the F4i?
Thanks for the help!!!
I guess this could be related to my subie...if I ever decide to sell her.....
...JUST KIDDING, I wouldn't sell my girl

Bike insurance should be dirt cheap. How much are you paying now?
Edit: it's good practice to get an insurance quote before buying a vehicle you're interested in

I would call Geico and get a quote, doesn't take long and they you will know exactly what you're looking at. My guess is that it will go up slightly for two reasons. It's three years newer (worth more), and it's the race ready model.
Geico is funny about certain things. I was paying $500 a year for my harley, I bought a quad and the price for both of them now is $300 a year total, doesn't make any sense but I'll take it.

I'm paired with my brother through geico since he has a bike too and I believe it was $200/month when it was just my bike but now that he has one, I'm sure it's higher.
Yeah, originally I was going to call geico and ask but I wasn't sure because he bro just added another bike on, so I didn't know if my choice was going to affect the insurance rates or not

I decided not to go through with the purchase of the BRAND NEW 2009 CBR 600RR for $6899 ($9550.12 out the door). I'd have atleast $2K left in my bank after that purchase and I figured it wouldn't be the best financial choice; I just bought my Subie and I already have a great bike too.
It's a steal you guys, if you're looking to buy. Check 'em out at East Bay Motorsports.
