Ive shopped around a lot and found that any difference between the lowest quoted price and my State Farm rate isnt worth losing my agent over.

^^Me too, but then I see people in this thread the same age as me with more accidents and STi's (I have a regular WRX) paying less than me...WTF?

age:23
record:1 at fault accident, no tickets
company:State Farm
car:05 WRX Wagon
rate:$1473.84/6 mnths

My 25th b-day will be so much more rewarding than my 21st was...I could get Alcohol since I was 15...there's no way to get a 'fake ID' to lower your rates as if you were 25 hahahaha.

ITs your company.

Mercury and Wawanessa historically have the lowest rates in california. You can even search on the DMV website and they always come up as the cheapest

Actually, Id bet its his deductible. Raise that deductible and you will see a dramatic decrease in the price of your insurance.

Also, before you go with some cut rate company, I would make sure that it is their policy to use OEM parts as replacements as opposed to aftermarket parts. Using non-OEM body panels and such saves the insurance company a bunch of money which is one way they can offer such low rates, it just isnt worth it, at least not to me, most of the time.

Thanks for the hints...I'm gonna talk to my rep about lowering the cost...plus I'm about to come up on 1 year from my accident so it should go down a little. Oh, yeah you're right about the deductable...I didn't realize 250 is low, so yeah. But I got hit-and-run a month ago so I'm glad my deductable is so low....
