Installed my F&R sway bars today...
...and as I went to torque one of the front D bracket nuts to 18 lbs/ft I sheared the entire bolt off. And of course it's a bolt that's welded in place.
Then when I tried to remove the second of two rear lateral link nuts, I managed to round the f****r off.
Why do I even try?

i would get some pbblaster stuff and then use a channel lock to get those rounded bolts off
if it makes you feel any better... when I was installing my ALK, I managed to trash the threading of the hole where one of the two bolts holds the bushing in place...

^ seriously.
I have since been reading how almost everyone rounds out that rear lateral link nut. I don't feel so bad now. But I still don't have the tools to remove it. Nor the tools to weld in a new bolt up front.
Hurry up and get back LIC.

Whats the major benefit of the front on our cars? most noticeable change?
The other day I ended up without a tool to get the stock subaru brand oil filter off, goddamnit! already had my oil drained. Once I was able to get it off 2 hrs later, my oil filter was out in about in the other car. 3+hr oil change, FTW

Same thing happened to me on the front bushing bracket nut. I ended up just welding the bracket to the car. It's holding just fine but it's sorta permanent lol.
