I have a CMG Reactor flashlight... 3 AA batteries... Single LED (Pure white) looks much like Audi HID headlights. My flashlight beats the crap out of my friends 12 LED flashlight. Cost is around $25-40 depending on where you get it. It's the size of the small maglights... Really heavy duty. Battery life is 100 hours.

We sold the CMG as well (now it's called the Gerber Reactor though as CMG was bought by Gerber Knives) and it is a very nice flashlight. I would put the Gerber Reactor on par with the Inova X03, but it is not as bright as X04. The Gerber and the X03 have different design ideas though, one being built of plastic and rubberized plastic and aluminum(Reactor) and the other is built of Aluminum only (Inova). Both are great lights though. For my money, the Inova is a better flashlight.

Chris,
Did you ever get the chance to see the T4? It's the rechargable unit and it's suppose to be bright at 100 lumens 300' beam. That's something you keep in the SUV.

Yeah, but the CMG/Gerber is half the price... They are on par with each other regarding light output... My CMG has been to hell and back, and still works like a champ. Best part is, Its the right diameter to mount on my rifle.

Oh yeah, it's a great light for sure. I'm not bashing it at all, it's a great value. I just prefer the design of the inova.

Byoung,
I have seen the T4. The X04 and the T4 are EXACTLY the same flashlight with a very slight difference in their housing design. The X04 if for consumer use, and therefore has a smooth aluminum housing with kind of a slight hexagon shape. The T4 however is a tactical light and therefore has a cross hatch grip designed into the aluminum. The battery, charger, LED, light output, lense, and switch are all exactly the same. Last I heard, the T4/X04 are the brightest LED flashlights on the market. I don't know if you are LED specific (I prefer LEDs as well due to their light color and crisp light pattern) but if you'd consider a xenon light the StreamLight Strion is an AMAZING light. The thing is only like four inches long, but it is rechargable and has the same candle power as a 3D MagLite.

My old company sells it at the site above. Keep in mind that there are two different parts for the 'charger' for the stinger. There is the charger holder, which is the box that you clip the light into, and there is the charging cord, wither AC or DC. Both AC and DC use the same charger holder. The Stinger uses the same holder and cord as the UltraStinger, PolyStinger, and SuperStinger so anywhere you see one of those for sale, it will work for your unit.

Charger Holder (10 hour) 75100 - $13.37
Fast Charger Holder (2.5 hour) 75103 - $24.77
120VAC Cord 22311 - $13.77
12VDC Cord 22051 - $8.77

Damn that was quick...

So is there any disadvantage to the quickcharger?

The quickcharger will wear the flashlight's battery out more quickly. I don't know how much more quickly as it really depends on use. It's one of those things that you will really know if you need it. If you need your flashlight more than once in the same day, say as an auto mechanic or security personel, I would say screw the total lifespan of the battery and get the fast charger. But if you are like the average user who only uses the light once a day, save some money, and prolong the battery's life by buying the standard charger and charging it over night

hmmm. Is there a chip that will stop charging the light when the battery is full? I don't want it explode when i leave it there for a day or two.

Yeah, both chargers will shut off once the battery is fully charged.

I regularly crawl around falsefloors in datacenters and behind server racks with tiny *** labels of serials numbers....comes in very handy to know that the flashlight will last forever.

Yeah, most of these flashlights are sold to professionals who use flashlights in their daily activities. Most of the flashlights mentioned are also what is known as tactical flahlights. This means that instead of havinf the traditional on/off switch on the neck of the flashlight they instead have momentary on/off switches on the tailcap of the flashlight. This allows officers/soldiers/security personnel to hold the flashlight with one hand, a pistol with the other, and operate the flashlight with just their thumb underneath the pistol. $50 really isn't that much compared to many others, to be honest. Many StreamLights can hit $150 with some options, and some SureFire lights can top out above three hundred. Probably the most expensive 'flashlights' I used to sell were the tactical gunmount flashlights with laser sight built in. With all options they could top out well over $600.
