Info on Cell Phone Driving Laws

According to the California Driver Handbook the law doesn't take effect until 07/01/2008

I can see it now cops will be pulling people over by the dozen, claiming cell phone usage, then breathalyzing, and checking carb numbers.
They shouldn't be allowed to pull you over for this, maybe just cite your vehicle in the mail but no pull overs, thats bs.

I disagree. Half the time someone cuts me off at a stop sign or almost sideswipes me on the freeway or does something else equally dangerous/stupid, I look over and see em on the cel phone. Should've been outlawed years ago. It's reckless driving at it's finest. Cite em all.
