Cool car (GT race car).
I like NASA. I had a really bad experience about 6 years ago, but the few track days I've done with them are not too bad.
Also, I like it because NASA has weekend days. It seems like the 'cheap' track days are usually on a weekday. I can't take off work to play at the track or it'd end up costing me more than a weekend day would take.
I'd also like to see one more on track session. 5 would be nice, but for $150 for 4 sessions it's not too terrible.
Thunderhill has their own school for $225 for 5 - 20 minute sessions.

I've been to a few NASA events. One event I was totally displeased with and thought should have been handled differently. Another one had an instructor crash a friends car into a porsche. I've had no problems with the other events.
Personally, I don't think the instructor crashing is NASA specific and I don't hold it against them. I would never let someone drive my car unless I trusted them 100%.
For the price, you can't really beat NASA. Just be a little more vigilant the normal.

yea, this is amazing about what people are saying about NASA. They have a pretty good thing going, and their events are on WEEKENDS which are a PREMIUM PRICE to rent a track.
If you think of the opportunity cost of weekday events taking a day off work and using a vacation day or w/out pay, + the cost of the event, it IS more expensive to me.
That said, I'll be there Sunday in my CRX:

At the NASA laguna seca day I got behind a honda that was pulling away from me on the straights!!!..I was like WTF???? then we got into the paddock and he had some imported 'spoon' engine and suspension...that thing was fast...a lot harder to stay with than any of the vettes.

Light/cheap cars are my favs. Most of the time people in Z06s and such don't want to hurt their cars. I doubt the guy in the automatic C6 was flogging his car. People in Boxsters and STis would hold me up at T-Hill in the twisties in my 1980 Celica. Hondas are light, and easy to fix. It's a liberating feeling beating the crap out of a little light car.
I was pleasantly surprised how easily the vettes were to smoke...especially when it was slightly wet...my scooby is a mild 200whp with only light suspension mods (sway, springs, ecsta MX) and mid corner I was getting right on them for a nice overtake on the following straight. Although the vettes in group 3 and 4 with better set-ups and drivers seemed to be going a lot quicker.
The R32 golfs that were there were also pretty dissapointing..I thought that their V6's and 4-motion awd were supposed to be good..I was not impressed and I'm a group 1&2 rank amateur.
that's what I've enjoyed about my first few track days in my scooby, it's really highlighted the weaknesses of my car so I can correct them with mods (brakes, suspension..then power..) and it kind of lets me know how I stack up against other cars and drivers....those guys in well set up miatas with race rubber and lots of talent really impess me every time.
+1 for track days, +1 for bringing my car home in one piece.
