ok...
Since you didn't give me a chance to reply to you before banning me I am posting this.
Why would me just challenging you about the compression thing **** you off so much? If you think I am wrong about it, prove me wrong.
How can changing a timing belt make the engine be off by 20psi in all 4 cylinders? Even if it is installed wrong? Honestly. I'm not saying anything smart ***, just asking for an answer. How can a timing belt change engine compression that much? And no the answer is not because it broke because of being installed wrong. How does something that changes lift and duration effect engine compression?
Why you banned me just because I challenged your knowledge in this matter is beyond me.

actually after reading that the "belt" has nothing to do with compression. Its just if you install the belt with the cams in the wrong position. So technically cams effect compression not the belt itself.

1. I did not ban you. I don't ban.
2. My answer about the timing belt was to your question. It had nothing to do with the specifics of the evom.net post.
3. I did not specify by how much the compression can be off.
Read this.
I said this:
You asked me this:
I said this:
And you called that pathetic excuse for an answer. WTF?
I don't know how much experience YOU have with timing belts. I don't even know if you ever istalled one or touched one. I did. Many times. And yes, it will change the compression. I can have 0 compression if enough teeth in the right place. And, the compression could be bumped as well. I have seen it. I have done it myself.
So, when you call my answer a pathetic excuse for an answer, what do you expect me to do? Hug you? WhoTF are you, to talk to anyone here in such manner? Most of you posts have the same tone and arrogance in them.
Even the title of this thread stinks of sarcasm and disrespect. You are doing a good job proving your point.

Actually, if the belt is installed incorrectly, and/or if the teeth are misalligned, the compression readings will be different.
Want to explain to me how? A couple of degrees wouldn't do anything. Hell I don't even think if it's off 10degrees it would show any difference and sure as hell not 20psi across the cylinders.
Yes it would. If your cam timing is off due to the t-belt in the wrong place, your intake valves will open too soon and you won't have **** for compression. There are few other combos on what could happen, but yeah. You can have your compression raised as well.

I guess it depends how you see it.
Since cams don't have a contact point with the t-belt, no. You cannot say that misalligning the timing belt is same as misalligning the cams.
But it is irrelevant. If the t-belt is not installed properly, your cam timing will be off. Causing the change in original compression.
It's a matter of wording, I guess, haha.

How is it over? I made it over last night. You brought this **** back.
Now, either admit you are wrong, or you prove me wrong. Be a man and do so in a mature manner. I don't mind being proven wrong. I will admit it if you can prove me wrong.
I am willing to bet you $1000 that I can change compression by messing with the t-belt.
How does that sound?
You get one more free post. Use it wisely.

Wording again, I guess.
I will loosen the t-belt and skip few teeth here and there. On some of the 4 cam gears.
Technically, I don't need to touch the gears, since they will spring rotate themselves.
But I might need to move them a tad.
Nothing someone wouldn't do during a cam gear and/or cam install or timing belt swap job.

I said your answer was pathetic because you said that by the t-belt breaking and smashing all the valves that it would change the compression.
Tell me that wasn't a pathetic answer to my question. ?
That's my post. Excuse me while I go vomit.
