I have an '04 STi now, and I love it too.

I am intrigued to see how the next Impreza pans out.

BTW, you're looking at a reverse hoodscoop, since there's a front mount hiding behind the grill...

But subaru's sign is the hood scoop. As I think it was 5th Gear called it the subaru 'power buldge.' (not to be confused with the eclipse's power hump). The Impreza just doesn't look right w/o one to me. Which is why I think the 2.5RS looks kinda funny to me after '02 since it doesn't have the scoop anymore...

Remember, those "pictures" are of the potential rally car, which doesn't follow the same rules as the production models. The production car would have a top-mount intercooler, hence it would have a scoop.

Blech. But, I have to say - while I am glad they are still selling and happy people like them, the newer versions just make me happier I got mine when I did. Funny, I hated the 'bugeye' when it came out. I started to love it when the '04s came out.. Maybe I will love the '04 in '06? Who really cares anyway.

I'd have to agree with that. I like the look of the bug-eyed compared to the 04 wrx. The Sti looks cool, but the wrx just looks "normal"....it really doesn't have any characteristic that makes it stick out..imo. Also, do you think the bug-eyed will become a classic, sort of like how the 2001 Integra Type R is now considered (at least that is what KBB said.)?

Like someone else mentioned, the only reason why the bugeyes sold well Stateside is that we didn't have a GC8 WRX or STi. That's why everywhere else in the world, bugeye sales were ho-hum. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but if there had been a GC8 WRX in say 2000 or 2001, I would've been all over instead of my bugeyes
I still like the bugeyes better than the 04's though. *flamesuit on*
Oh, and this concept looks kinda poopy IMHO...
