you'll be surprise how many drifters are turning to american V8s as powerplants. they have a ton of power right out of the box and they are much easier to keep cool.

Oh yeah, torque makes tire smoke, and few things have more torque than a built Chevy 540.
I was musing about buying an 80's El Camino (same chassis as Buick GNX) doing a monster small block (4.155"x4.00) and taking it to drift events myself

well if he really is a die hard subie owner then he will probably make it work for him. Him and Ken rally cross on their off season. they have a 2000 impreza rs with an 2002 wrx swap.

Awesome pics man.

For all the ricers and import fanboys here:

Most of those v8's make more torque out of the box than a tuned four banger. Plus chevy parts are dirt cheap have decades of r&d (which is muck more than you can say for any little rice car) and are as reliable as a honda. Also a common misconception is that american cars are heavy, in fact most vintage mustangs, camaros and firebirds weight less than our subys.

Pushrods ftw. Since the viper stomped all the little imports in the ultimate streetcar shootout, vendors and advertisers pressured scc to not allow pushrod vehicles. That should make you fanboys happy.

Ignorance is bliss. Has anyone heard of a zl1 camaro? They ran 10 second passes stock. How can you fade that with a 240?
