I wave at other Subies and they always appear weirded out because they got deuces from a chick. Or they give me that look like I want the D.

On the other side of the coin are women who have SRT4s, autotragic Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers or my all time favorite, lifted trucks with "Save a horse, ride a Cowboy" sticker. Bad woman driving coupled with mega ***** attitude might be the most unattractive thing one can exude. They just enjoy having something fast enough to be used to cut people off in.

I have to be honest, I put my SCCA sticker on my car, just to set me apart from them. Hoping that just because I drive what I drive, I don't get lumped in as some chick who had her boyfriend/husband build her car for her or she bought it that way and rolls hard. Hell, even the first iclub meet I went to, I went with my buddy. They complimented him for my Forester, thinking it was his. I went to a Subaru dealership back in 05 to check out a WRX. When we sat down to talk numbers, some other sales guy who didn't talk to us initially, immediately started talking to my husband, even though I was the one who test drove the car. This is why we can't have nice things.

I don't wave to chicks in Subies for the opposite reason. NO, I DON'T WANT TO GIVE YOU THE D AND I AM NOT STALKING YOU, just Subie wave damnit.

 

Its not stalking unless you've made a u-turn to stay behind or have made 3 turns with her. Everything else is perfectly legit.

I waved to a nice LGT on 41st ave while my girlfriend was in the front seat and my ***** jumped into my throat when I noticed it was a girl.

I immediately started saying I SWEAR I DIDNT SEE HER BEFORE I WAVED. Waiting for the gallows to come down on my neck.

She says " girls drive subies too and I dont want you going to meets hanging out with other girls who drive subies cause you might like them more than me."

Then when I tell her I want her to go with me she doesnt want to.

Even tho its NOWHERE NEAR anything like that, theres no convincing her otherwise lol.

I had to drag her to the esx event down the street and when she visually saw Ray, Gagan and Jeremy she lightened up lol.

 

Well, if it makes her feel any better, I'm married with two kids myself. My Forester is just a really fun family hauler is all. I've been into cars since I was 13 and would go to car events with my then boyfriend, now husband, and was treated like I was an accessory by the other people there. I've made it a point to embrace the women who go but aren't even necessarily into cars to make them feel more comfortable with whats going on. I wish someone had done that for me when I was younger and felt out of place, but still wanted to be there because I loved cars. Imagine being 13-17 years old and at a Lowrider event with women walking around in thongs, plastic stripper heels and pasties. Feeling insecure but sucking it up doesn't even begin to describe it.

I just read that last line, and realized as males 13-17 years old in that environment, you'd have no complaints. Just a lotta wood. LOL

 

that sounds a tad insecure. I have never understood the whole "omg you looked at someone else, you must be cheating on me" crap you heterosexuals throw around in a relationship.

 

Driving in the Bay Area makes me miss the slow, passive drivers in Oregon. There were some douchebags, but not the amount that I encounter here on a daily basis.

However, I fortunately don't see anyone trying to race me in my RS. Maybe cause I'm a girl though.

no no ok to be fair you are right on that, I have met quite a few same sex couples that are just as insecure. I guess I am just not wired that way, I couldn't care less what my other half does as long as they come home at night to me.

 

Im the same way. But I have been unfaithful in the past with flirting so she watches me like a hawk now. Even tho im a good boy and realize that what I was doing was wrong.

She thinks I talk to girls on here because I used to flirt with girls on skout.

Doesnt help either that the adds on this site are mostly all dating. Including skout lol.

Ever since I traded the GD WRX for the GP wagon, I get zero waves and zero attention from Subie drivers of either sex.

 

Lol if u mean a GL wagon then we all know why lol. I see them all the time but nobody waves at us cause they are all old senile people haha
