im going to state ref... got some questions

yup, thats right.
im going to keep this sweet and simple:
friday night/ saturday morning around 2 am in downtown SJ cop pulls me over. he hears my exhaust and makes my open my hood, which i do. he notices my intake with no carb sticker and gives me a ticket for modified emissions and loud exhaust. he was mentioning that my exhaust was WAYYY to loud and sends me to ref.
i know i have to bring my car back to stock, but do i need it to be 100% stock or just engine mod wise???
please help me out BAIC, and if someone or maybe a few of you guys may be able to lend a helping hand to bring my car back to stock, id really appreciate too.

damn that sucks, I just got pulled over for a modified exhaust too, but not having to go to state ref, I was *****ing about it too. Ive talked to someone at gruppe-s and they said that if I was sent to state ref, Id have switch back to stock up/dp and exhaust

just stock uppipe and turboback, stock intercooler/bov and intake, you can leave the turbo/injectors/etc. just ask mike if he'll tune it down for you, so you dont **** **** up while it's running all the stock ****... as long as all the stock EMISSIONS stuff is in there... then after you pass... all the **** you took off should be fairly easy to toss back on..
i spoke to mike regarding going to the state ref/smog checks before and he said i can surely pass with a stock exhaust system.
i'm sure you can leave the other stuff on the car such as gauges and what not. Gluck man.

whatever under the hood doesn't have a carb label return to stock and return exhaust to stock as well and that should get you through the visual. smog stations including refs dont dyno awd cars(they dont have a awd dyno) so they do a two speed idle test but im not promising you will pass that with your list of mods but if you fail keep your print out and get it to me and we will figure out why you failed.

let me know when you plan to bust this out. we can do the TBE in a little over an hour and the uppipe in about 2.
you should be able to pass smog without the uppipe cat, but you might not pass the visual.

thanks for all the help with this guys, i have all my stock parts. *i kept them just in case ish like this happened*
i trying to get my engine back to stock as much as possible. ill let you guys know when and where. im just waiting for the paper work to come in the mail.

I've been to the state ref once so I will tell you exactly what you need to do.
Remove ic pipes (you can leave the core on, i did and they didnt say one word)
put back on the following parts
intercooler
bov
inlet unless yours is black
stock air box
stock turboback
stock header
you can leave the turbo as it looks like stock, leave the injectors as it looks stock (they only look at the rails really), leave the pulley as it looks stock, and you dont really have to worry about the ecutek but just dont floor the car since its not tuned for the stock parts you just put back on really.
header you need to have stock as they will fail you for an aftermarket one. uppipe they wont be able to see really so thats fine. what they check for is stock intake system, stock cat under the car, stock o2 sensors.
