i'm coming back up north again.

ok i always take the 5 fwy...how boring. i haven't taken the 101 fwy up yet so i'll pass since it's an extra 2 hours and gas prices are up there.

i want to experience something a lil different this time and maybe something a lil fun. i was told that the 152 thru gilroy is nice. so i would take the 5N to 152W to the 101 then the 580..correct? i'm going to walnut creek.

anyone experience the 152? if so..how's the drive? is it longer, if so how long? and should i be prepared to fill up before i get on the 152 or are available gas stations o nthat hwy? i always have to stop once but i don't remeber if i have to stop before or after the 152. inputs please..thanks.

oh and most important..what's the CHP status?

Yeah, I honestly would just go 5 to 580 and get home.

I live in SJ so I take 101 to 152 to 5. The 152 is ok if its at night, otherwise there will be slow go-ers and its not much fun and wont be worth going out of your way. It smells like garlic too (gilroy)

for walnut creek, wouldn't you just take 680 from 101?

so, 5N, 152W, 101N, 680N and that should take you there?

like ucbsti said, 152 is ok when there's no traffic. a part of it is one lane traffic, so if you're stuck behind a slow car/truck, you're stuck behind that car.

casa de fruta has a chevron. there are a few other places that have gas stations along that road.

i guess i'll have to stick to the 5. wish i knew of some cool roads in the bay to make up for the 5fwy's bordem.
