The Toyota Motor Sales USA President & COO stated in this interview that the North American market would be getting the Toyota FT-86 when it gets made. He was asked when the Supra or another sports car was coming to North America to which he answered that no Supra would be coming but that the FT-86 would be.

LOL, ok I laughed at this. Did you watch the video of the interview? Jim Lentz told us that if we absolutely can't wait for the FT-86 to release, we are more than welcome to pre-order our own Lexus LF-A, which is being sold much sooner than the FT-86. OH JOY! That is great news!!! I'm going to pre-order my LF-A now, don't wait guys!

Wheelbase and physical dimensions have not changed. As for the Subaru version of the FT-86, it will not differ from the Toyota version as much as previously reported. Expect only badge and option differences.
I have said it before, and I will say it yet again; if Toyota bring this car to market, and it does not have an ideal f:r weight distribution, or a curb weight of <2,800lb (2,700lb if the car does in fact end up coming with a N/A 2.0L motor), it will fail on epic proportions, and only add insult to injury if the design change takes away any of the beauty of the original FT-86 concept.
