thanks for all the advice again, im gonna wait, i know it'll be worth it, the scion tc is 2 doors if im notmistaken, im pretty sure it is, and it comes out to be more than 17k, and so is the corolla XRS..i wouldnt mind the highest trim corolla since that little body kit it comes with makes it look ok. anyways, i figured if i dont get a wrx soon..now..ill never get one, because im gonna be in school for a while with college and grad school(well thats my plan), so if i dont get one now..ill never..ever be able to afford one.

glad to hear you are going to wait, if not i would have taken a persuasive speech class to persuade my parents into a good used car.
good luck, be as responsible as you can when you get it.

If its gotta be 4 doors, get a Scion xB.
My ex GF had one, and it was just fine for getting around or commuting, whatever.
Its fun to drive, there's plenty of room inside, plenty of power and suspension mods available, and its a good value.
You can even drop a celica GTS motor in it, jdm AWD systems, etc.

Get a job, put down like $15k on a new wrx and go with payments. If you get the car for $25k otd, your payments will be around $100 or so dollars. I put $11k down and got the car for $25k otd and my payments are $240 a mon. My grandma told me once, never settle, you will not be happy. If you did decide to get a car now and not a suby, I'd bet that in a few months, you would be kicking yourself in the a**!

I agree, just get a 04 or even 05 2.5RS!! serious, it not bad at all....it is still a boxer engine....
one more thing.... are you talking about $17 before tax?? or $17 after tax?? or around $17 ....?? you know...just wondering.... cause it will make a different.
I think the best thing is to talk to your parent about it... try to like sell them the car...tell them that ... it had the best crash test, insurence comepany give them the 5 stars rating (make sure tell them it is like the best rating already), all-wheel drive = no spin out, and not aqua-plane = no accident (well....it really depend on your reputation from your parent, just drive safe suggest. I saw so many @#$%ed head driving like a @$$ on the street, it really pissed me off....)
couple things you will never said infront of your parent before you buying the car....if you want to still get a RS
REMEMBER!!!
* IT NOT A RACE CAR
* NOT A RALLY CAR
* IT NOT A SPORT CAR
* IT NOT EVEN A FAST CAR
~IT ONLY A FAMILY "SEDAN"
~A "SAFE" CAR TO DRIVE, BECASE OF THE ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE
~IT FOR COMMUTE ONLY (the weekend warrior thing, keep it to your-self)
~GOOD CRASH TEST RATING 5 STARS
~GOOD INSURENCE RATING....(let them find out the numbers later, i'm sure they will be ****)
~ah... just tell them it a really safe car....
one thing before you had to do it....contact the Santa cruz subaru guys here, they are here sometime.... tell them what sup....you know... try to match the word of you guys....lol, and good luck bro

This may sound retarded too, but i had an outback OS for years and i put that thing through hell and it never even hiccupped. For an *almost* first car it was the best choice i could have made. But if thats not an option then i would definitley go for the Scion Tc. It's a damn good looking car and if i wasnt so hellbent on AWD and a wagon, i would totally buy one. Plus its a toyota, so its gotta be as reliable as all getup.
Go for it man, scion TC
