280 rocks, at around 100 you really get in the zone

The stats seem to point towards RAISING the speed limit, not ticketing people for blowing through some idiotic arbitrary number.
Um, just out of curiosity, doesn't 280 being so open/fast mean that there are also fewer people driving it than 101? Either way it may be worth looking into the rate of accidents rather than the total number. Please don't construe this as a vote against a 100mph limit though

I just did 85 mph with several 100 mph runs on 280 and 110 mph on the freeway leading from 280 to 101 south. Saw several motorcycle cops the opposite way and saw a cop that was ticketing someone so they didn't bother me

I did look around for cops before I went past 85 mph though.

Cops has nothing better to do than catch normal citizen speeding and letting the real crocks do whatever they want. (Like jack your car, jack your stereo, jack your house, etc etc)

Yes.. I don't like cops.. yes I got a ticket because I was playing with my brake light while I am stopped.

what do you mean, like tapping on the brakes while you're in neutral?

I dont even see a lot of CHP on 280. Maybe once in a while when I drive on 280 i'll see just one of them.
And i've only seen them once ever on one of my midnight drives that I take by myself. I was cruisn going maybe just 60 to see what cars would pass me up. Then I see these headlights coming from back catching up really really fast. Then once it past me it was a CHP going probably 120+ just speeding.
I see cops speeding at night a lot. What are they doing? Just bored?

280 is the only safe place for me to put our Subie through it's paces (under light conditions of course). We travel down that corridor in the mornings usually when traffic is extremely light.

*knock wood* I agree with Azjon. Hardly ever see cops. Thanks for the heads up tho'.

What is that thing that CHP do when they swerve around in all the lanes? I see that a lot in San Francisco.

I think it's done to slow down traffic whenever there's an accident ahead that they have to clear:banana:

Exactly. He gave me a fix-it for broken brake light.... Go figure. This was a couple years ago.
