Has anyone thought about using History Park in San Jose? It's got huge amounts of parking, an ice cream place on site and is known to be car show friendly.

Oh man, tell me about it! I'd love this, but as the past has shown us, it's hard to rely on people. Someone can tell you that they will do xyz for the event, and as time goes by they forget or lose interest and bail on us which leaves a huge gap that I need to fill. We actually do have people helping out in the way that you mentioned, but they aren't all members of this forum, they are mostly my family or best friends. We do have some i-clubbers who help but it's only a few guys that I can rely on... We need like 15 more.

Our team is about 8 large including my wife and family.

The great thing about Stafford Lake is the venue. It's on the grass and is much more comfortable for everyone... Plus the running water, great grills, shade, and great parking. It's pretty much the ideal place for us. I'm very glad that we're not stuck standing in a parking lot the whole day at Stafford, that's a HUGE plus.

and the treasurer has to make public all expenditures and show all reciepts

and i agree as well of maybe holding off on donating this years money and helping the vendors out.


and yes they make big jumpies for adults... and yes i know a guy, it wouldnt really be that much. might add 1 to $2 more per person

and i say there should be some serious *** regulating with the wristband-food distribution

have someone dish out the food who checks bands if this wasn't already done, i wasn't there this year since I'm an idiot and my immune system fails at life, but that could work and would only require one or two more helpers.

Also, we could maybe do some type of golf tournament early that morning since Indian Valley Golf Course is right there. Maybe some type of 9 hole scramble with prizes for those who want to golf. Might not be viable but could be fun!

Make it Flag Football, that way people can play and have fun, but not get injured when we play. Touch or Tackle football always seems to run in to problems. Whatever happens though, I'd definitely be IN for football.

Also, I really don't know why this didn't happen this year, but anything that was Pre-Purchased really should be on a Printed List. This year just goes to show, that if the list is not printed out, then the computer can die and all types of havoc can be caused.

Definitely +1 for having a committee to run the event.

Stafford lake was really fun, but the heat was horrible IMHO. lol I dont do well in the heat to begin with so I had a hard time out at the park. I cant imagine having to play a sport in the heat.
