I want to congratulate myself for winning the traffic tocket.
Usually you'll just tell your side of the story, either not admitting guilt or offering some explanation for your actions; safe for conditions, had to poop, etc.
What you're really banking on is that the cop doesn't submit his paperwork on time, thus dismissing the case regardless of what you said in your statement.

You got really nothing to loose when you file for a trial by declaration or court. I just practiced my rights as a citizen to utilize the justice system. Believe you me, if I admit/plead guilty to anything - I want all facts to be true and real - not what officer believe it to be. Although the officer was doing his job, I simply didn't agree 100% to what he accuse me of doing - so I fought and took my chance.
You forget, cops are infallible creatures. Oh, and that little thing about the (traffic) court system being designed to generate revenue, not justice.
