Now that would be rad. I'd pay $50 to rent a lift for a day.
I'm going to try and do my clutch I think and without a lift it's a PITA. Fortunately I have access to a lift for free... whut whut.
If I can't pull it off I have a shop lined up to do it for me at a fair market value.
Need to do brakes, clutch, diff/tranny flush. Try to knock that all out in one day.

But just opening a shop to rent lift space.... probably not much value. Most guys working on their own cars on the regular just crawl around at home.

I think your biggest obstacle if you were to rent out a space daily would be liability. There are a lot of dummies out there and when you give them access to heavy machinery...
The idea of renting out shop space and tools for people to use has been done before. Seen and heard of several places that failed. Insurance alone Im sure would be a huge cost. It just doesnt pan out.
