This thread should have never been written.
Jamison, although you never directly accused me of stealing your tablet, the manner in which you portraited the events that occured clearly alludes to your belief that I stole it.
As I previously stated, I never touched your tablet, let alone stole it. This leaves two possible realities that you must expolore: either one of your friends stole it or it is still misplaced somewhere. I hope that either delving into your router logs or somehow installing some type of remote tracking software shines some light on either scenario.
In my conversations with you throughout this ordeal I have been completely sympathtic and compassionate about your missing tablet. I kept you updated as soon as I got back from my trip to New York and thoroughly searched my car for the tablet. I even offered to come to your house, and meet face to face to help you look for the tablet, but you declined my offer because you said you were going camping. It's really upsetting that you would mistake sincerity and willingness to help for distrustfulness and dibious character.
Although it might not have been your direct intentions to paint me in a negative light, the creation of this thread has cast me as an untrustworthy and felonious individual. I take pride in my reputation and how I am percieved, and to have to defend myself against allegations of criminal theft angers me, to say the least.
To everyone bashing Brian, get a life. He is a good friend who is defending me against these accusations he knows I am not capable of committing. His fortitude and resilence in defending me are testiments to both his knowledge of my character as well the quality of friend he is.

Your defense kind of tossed me though... "I work at this place and make a ton of money... If I wanted a tablet I would buy one" no mention of "I wouldn't steal from the guy who repeatedly offered to help me out"... I mean, I don't need to work on cars, but I choose to. How do I know you didn't steal it? The ability to afford it doesn't mean much...
You would.

Thanks for the kind words. Like I said before, I'm here to help.
If you we're injured, I would gladly help you out. Especially just an adjustment... No payment needed.
I'm sorry that your character has been put into question. I have had some long conversations with the other two guys that were here. They both swear up and down that they didn't take it. Although you do seem trustworthy, I don't really know you.

I understand the situation you are in. There was a guy that you had only met a couple of times previously and a couple good friends. Unsurprisingly the blame falls on the person you know/trust the least. From my personal experience and I'm sure the experience of others, I have had people I put a lot of trust in steal things/cash of similar value to your missing tablet.
As far as me being displaying gratitude for helping me install parts, yeah I do appreciate you helping me out, but I'm sure as you can empathize with me, it's difficult for me to extend a thank you when you are indirectly accusing me of something very criminal and serious, that I did not do.
I have also shown you my gratitude for your help and even you have admitted in this thread that you thought I was a nice guy who wasn't capable of this. You should have trusted you instincts that I am a good person instead of making this stupid thread.

Andrew's saying he has the money to buy it, so there is zero motivation to ruin his reputation on here for a tablet that he can easily purchase
Like I said before, if any of you actually knew andrew, you'd be either laughing your *** off or getting riled up like I am over this BS because there's no way andrew would steal a hardworking person's used personal electronics, and give up on having a relationship with a person like jamison (helpful guy who knows how to wrench on cars at off times because andrew works into the nights sometimes) when he can buy hundreds of these and be able to keep his rep and a friendship with jamison
