I think my brakes are F'd
Long story short, a buddy of mine came to my house to put on some ss brakelines. I told him don't worry about bleeding them since I wouldn't be there to help. Next day I took the care to Midas to have them bled and the tech told me that the brake line was cross-threaded into the line that goes under the hood and thus to the master cylinder. They didn't want to touch the brakes and said that I would need to get the line replaced. I don't know the name of the line, but it's not the one that comes from the caliper. If someone out there knows the name and where I could get one, if needed, I'd appreciate it. If anyone out here maybe has a second opinion, feel free to chime in.
After checking under the car, I don't have a leak and my brake fluid is still full

They wanted to charge me $600 to replace and install the new line. They said that the line doesn't come bent, so they would have to bend it themselves and install it. So what I wanted to do was find out what the line was actually called and whether or not they came pre-bent so I could buy it myself and save some cash.

Midas and Aamco are two of the places at the very top of my "don't go there" list.
Some might be staffed by people with half a clue, but being franchises there's generally little to no chance of getting a seriously competent evaluation of anything at all from them.
Take your car to someone who knows what they are doing.

Which brake is it going to??
If he knew anything about what he was talking about, he'd realize that the brake lines go to the ABS system, NOT the master cylinder...
I'd recommend taking it to a local Subaru shop where you'll get an honest mechanic to look at it and assess the issue. Not sure how he could be stupid enough to try that.
The proper solution IF the fitting were cross-threaded would be:
1. cut off the flare end of the brakeline.
2. remove the cross-threaded connector
3. install a new connector
4. using a flaring tool, create a new flare, and re-attach the hose, being careful not to cross-thread the connector.
Obviously, either one of two scenarios here:
1. Not competent, especially with the most important aspect of your car.
2. Not honest...
I'd pick option 2 personally.

I suggest bleeding your brakes. Then taking it to a subaru shop.
Midas is known for this kind of ****. They run you for WAY more than you need.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're full of ****. It sounds to me like the part you're talking about your buddy didn't touch...correct?
