Harassment will always happen. There are always gonna be the balance of good guys and bad guys in any business, law enforcement included. That's just the way it is, I used to get pull over a lot and still do over some dumbs**t. So don't trip Nikki, it happens to the best of us.

 

one major change in police these days, and even the US SUPREME COURT has held up local and state courts decisions, is that cops are NOT REQUIRED to protect individuals these days.

they are there AFTER the crime has occurred.

that's why as law abiding citizens, we must turn to each other and protect ourselves against those who have no meaning in life than to break the laws and harm us (read: criminals)

Almost everyone in this thread is being a bit out of line... Can we please stop the name calling and childish crap? Yeah, she made a mistake and dint' have much right to call out the cop as he was just doing his job and if you want to play you gotta pay... I think she got the message now lets calm down and stop the name calling please... Like changing the threat title to say what it says... That's not cool at all. We all make mistakes and NO ONE here is immune to dumb things... We've all been there and we've all paid the price... and how many of you can honestly say that you've never felt like venting about something even though it is in fact your fault? I know I rant about crap all the time, it makes me feel better even if it is my fault.

But yeah, we're a community here... there's no need to flame others like was done in this thread... Sure, call her out on her mistake, that's fine... but the vibe and language going on in here is really uncalled for.

I've been trying to be nicer to folks in general, even if they do bug the hell out of me and the reason for this is because I want this community to be a great one! Yeah, it slips out sometimes, but I try my best to be nice online (like I am in real life! )

Eh, no one is hating. We were asked for advice and we are giving it. Despite a few comments it seems to me everyone has been for the most part saying things that make sense and not flatout cold blooded. Now it's up to Penguin to either take it or leave it (bruised ego and all).
