When more people make a big deal out of it that's when people listen. If we just continue to let it go that's like continuing to let racists go for killing people based on their ethnicity.

So he illegally parked. Big Deal, it's not like he killed someone and they said, oh you are a cop so we'll let you go. Cops and even non cops get away with a lot. Probation officers get away with the darkest of tints on their windows and get out of speeding tickets all the time. And they are not even cops. The entire population of the state of New York could complain about that guy, you know what would happen? He'd get a mark on his record and probably some paid leave. Then he'd be right back to work. Complaining about it doesn't make change.

Now I'll agree with what the cop in Daniel's post did was way out of line and he needs to be disciplined for that. That's completely uncalled for, but just parking illegally? Who cares!

And this would all depend on how long you were there and if a cop happened to cruise by. I've illegally parked a bunch of times to make a trip in some place real fast and didn't get ticketed or towed. I had my wife's car parked on my street the facing the wrong direction for almost a week before a cop happened by and wrote a ticket for it.
