I partied x002x status and lost my key :(
I partied x002x status last night and lost my master key.
My spare keys never worked right, i mean they work with a tiny bit of effort.
So i need to buy a blank key, then what?
I don't wanna use the spare keys as the parent to the new blank, since i know the 3rd time copy probably will have a hard time twisting the lock mechanism.
So has anyone ever had to have their ignition taken out and a new key matched up to that?
...uhhh...and how much
Thanks

thats after a certain year. when I worked at Peter Pan, it was everything after 2001 where they cut you a new key from your VIN

buy a blank then have it cut based on your vin. or just order one from the dealership based on vin and don't worry about buying a blank.
Only buy a blank if you want a fancy smancy sti blank or something.

Cool.
but i really loved my black key with the logo's and stuff, i'll probably buy a blank
so that VIN thing sounds good, and relatively cheaper than dismantling an ignition
haha it wasn't even like that, i was at home with a friend, checking out my backyard track, playing disc golf in the dark, chopping firewood, posting random S on teh i-club, chopping more wood...it's a mtn thing you wouldn't understand

Precisely. If all he lost was one key, he was definitely not partying hard enough. Now, if had he lost all his RS keys in one night, his Miata key, his house key, his phone and his sanity, then he would've been a certified baller.
It's QQ thankyouverymuch

So can i get a key for my mom's outback too?
I'm assuming any average joe cant go in with a VIN number and get a key, so whoever's name is in the car has to be present to get that key?
