My computer has gone haywire as of late, hords of spyware garbage getting into it, and popups all over the place. I managed to coordinated ad-aware, spybot and bazooka to the point where I was able to eliminate the Spyware, but ive reinstalled XP twice and im getting these popups now out of nowhere... AtGuard doesnt work anymore I guess.
Any suggestions?

Well, you need to get rid of the spyware, but if ad-aware isn't cutting it after the latest updates, the best popup blocker I've found is the google toolbar.
use ad-aware to delete spyware, use google to block pop-ups, and use a good virus scanner to protect yourself from malicious programs/code.
also, stop surfing for ****! LOL.

I don't know where you guys get all this spyware.
I use the Gnutella network (how files are shared through Kazaa and Limewire, etc...)
I look at ****
I surf the web day and night
I've never had a problem with this stuff. No spyware, no popups (since I started using Mozilla products). I had an excel virus once, but that came from work. Aside from that I never have a problem. I run spyware checking software every once in a while, but it never finds anything. Worst I've had is Gator or Banzai Buddy try to install when I load some random piece of shareware or something, but that's easy enough to tell is happening.
I'm dead serious, how do people get this stuff... I have to fix friends computers that open 16 windows the instant you look at IE, and have 13 different spy/adware programs running on boot... I literally have no idea how they do it.

Use the pop up blocker from yahoo!... I have tried 10 different ones, and I like it the best. Blocks all the unwanted ads and you can turn it on and off with one button. Go to yahoo.com and type in "Pop-Up Blocker" in the search box.
