i need a driveway to use

so i have a spring/strut/tophat set i want to install, but i live in an apartment complex where i dont have a spot to install the parts here...
also, the springs are separate with the struts and tophats, and i dont have compressor tool to put them together...i think it was onemanarmy who said shops will put them together for you, but im not sure on where...

basically im wondering if someone with a garage or spot and some knowledge on spring install can help me out with this..
i would pay for them to be installed at a shop but i've gotten a few quotes that were more than i would want to pay...
i know there are some people on here that can breeze through suspension work so if you would like to help, post or send me a pm and we can talk...

thanks for anyone who helps
brian

I've got a decent sized garage and lots of parking in Pacifica...unfortunately there are trained chimps who are more mechanically inclined than me but you are welcome to use the space.

If you're up for waiting for a little while longer, a few of us in the SC area were going to try and get an install day together...Probably won't be for a few weeks tho. Hit up the SC thread or come out to Starbucks tonight

if the springs are aftermarket lowering springs you will not need a spring compressor...

Wow, don't even say that! I saw some guy get his nose and 1/4 of his face shot off from the spring because he said no spring compressor was needed.

This was back in the day when shops just started working on compact sports cars. It wasn't my car that was being worked on, I was checking out a shop in San Jose when I peeked in the shop garage to see what kind of cars they were working on. I heard some guy say a spring compressor wasn't needed.. I said he was nuts, he called me a *****. I walked back into the showroom and 2 min later I hear this bloody scream. I guess the guy holding the strut body was laying on the ground and the guy who was talking crap was screaming because his nose was gone and part of the lower part of his face was taken off clean.. I wonder what ever happened to that guy? I never went back to that shop...
