I need brakes

Soon. I am bouncing between a bunch of brands. Stoptech, alcon, rotora, etc. I really need some good brakes, not just for daily driving but for intense tracking too. I am leaning towards a large 6pot setup, but depending on the 4 pot I could go for one.

Does anyone know much about rotora's? Their 4 pot looks nice and theres a pair up on nasioc right not with under 10k on em. 4 pot, 330x30 slotted and cross drilled rotors. Yes I know slotted > drilled. Should I just man up and go for alcon's?

The main issue here is fade, not stopping power. Without bsing me with the "oh stoptech is enough dood!" Seriously, how are they on the track mashing it? Thanks .

stoptech for sure. out of the ones you listed alcon will be the best in terms of all out tracking but honestly unless you have some insane setup and are one crazy driver, the alcon is not needed. stoptech brakes have an awesome price and you get a ton. don't go with rotora imo.

Haha. No :P. I keep all my stock parts so that when I go back to stock, I don't have to scramble around like everyone else. And I don't have to buy my own parts back.

you COULD get the Alcon (built) units from Prodrive.

Overkill? Hmm, probably not. $2,199.00 for an awesome upgrade in stopping power. Includes pads with the kit.

There is no good info about that on their site. Why is that price so much less than the price that LIC displays for alcons? You've got the hook in my mouth.

I have a Stoptech bbk and love it. Racingbrake also has a bbk that is reasonably priced, not sure how they perform.

I think the Prodrive units use 1 piece rotors vs the 2 piece 340mm or 370mm items used by the Stasis equipped kits, I cannot tell from the pictures but the calipers do not look like they are mono block either but again you would have to check on that.

The units LIC sell are a awesome setup, we use the 340mm units on the L and have had zero issues with them.

That all being said I would perhaps say they might be a little overkill for anyone that is not tracking the crap out of there car, the Stoptechs should be about a grand cheaper and a more obvious option for 99% of people out there.

That is indeed the difference. Single piece rotors instead of the two-piece rotors.

The calipers ARE monoblock.

Well, all I know is that with my stock 06 4 pots I was fading the hell out of them and really could have benefited from being able to brake later. How does the stasis setup compare to the stoptech's? I am willing to throw down the money for the front stasis setup, or maybe even the front and rear stoptech setup, but how big is the difference? I track a few days in the year, and have spirited driving sessions often. I consider myself a pretty good driver.

--edit--

Sort of directed towards mike since they run the stasis on the L

I think the stoptechs are probably the best kir for what you are looking for. But if you got the cash to spare, I definitely would take Mike's suggestion on the kit from LIC.
