Ford F-650?

It's like a Raptor, but you know, way bigger.

Outbacks are pretty dope. We would have gotten one but a similar package was like another $7k and we didn't have it in the budget. Ask Adam about his. He's been happy with it and getting pretty killer mpg out of it.

If you're looking at the Raptor I'd say you could save money and end up with a cooler truck if you just picked up an F150 and tossed a sick set of wheels and a pre-runner set up on it.

This one is overkill... but still
I will build one of those online and see what happens. I dont want another hobby car, the bug eye is a money pit already.

Adam what MPG are you seeing?

Nope, its a bit of a pain to park, and when you drive in the city all the little hippy ****s give you a "OMG what is that!" look.

*edit* but I was not suggesting a dually to you. Find yourself a 05-11 mega cab 2500, the v24 motor is simple to work on, can be tuned like crazy, if tuned right can get upwards of 25mpg, and, its a diesel.

I agree - just took a ride in a new Forester XT and it was really nice. Lots of space. Compares to my old 2005 Honda Pilot, minus the 3rd row seat.

That F-150 is nuts. Probably lots of fun.

Should get this: 1996 Military 6x6 Deuce BMY Harsco

Or if you have some white sunglasses, some extra NOR*CAL stickers and a flat-brim hat, you could get this:

04 diesel lifted excursion ? TRADE?

If I could swing the fuel cost, I would absolutely drive a full size truck. One with back doors is super useful because you can really put a lot of crap back there. They are a blast to drive (most of them are) and really comfortable. But then, I am peculiar and I really enjoy driving huge things. I have a blast driving U-Haul trucks and stuff. The dually is only for having a 5th wheel trailer, and looking silly. In every day use, the extra wide rear basically just makes for piles of understeer in what was a fairly fun to drive vehicle.

Every once in a while, I rent a truck from Enterprise because they are useful and fun to drive. I don't need one often enough to justify owning one, and renting one is great for many reasons. I have rented Dodges, Fords and Chevrolet full size trucks from Enterprise. Highly recommended if you are even considering one.

Keep in mind, you don't need to go full on beefcake for a truck to be nice. Even the base-ish models are really fun to drive, and great vehicles. I recommend picking one up as a rental for at least a week and drive it all over. A friend has a 2009 F-150 4 door 5.4L 4x4 and I drive it occasionally - aside from the walls of plastic, it's great. Super comfy and you can store my Justy in the center console. The only full-size I have owned was a '90 Ford F-350 Diesel 4x4 long bed w/ a 5spd manual. That thing was brutal but so much fun.
