No offense, but since you are a girl, im sure they think they can take advantage of you. Lots of dealerships/service places are notorious for unfairly treating female customers.

BUt yeah, call SOA, Call BBB, CALL YOUR INSURANCE.

The dealership guy basically caused the collision, there for the dealership's insurance must cover it (as it is technically an auto accident). However, its YOUR car, so its your decision how to have it fixed (NOT THEIRS!). Dont let them bully you and fix your car. Get an estimate for the damage, submit it to them or their insurance and get a check for the damages, dont let them paint if for you, they obviously suck ***.

One you mention filing an insurance claim and contacting the BBB and SOA, they should be more than willing to cut you a check

1) report them to SOA
2) call the BBB
3) handle it through insurance
4) get the worker that crashed your car into the OBS fired
5) get anyone that tld you to "just get over it" fired
6) after they walk out of the dealership crying, tell them to "just get over it"

when dealer ships have things that they need to be fixed they send it to their shop. they do this because the shop that they work with does the job for free costing the dealership nothing.... well thats what i learned from working at a dealership... most of the time they take it to a really good shop that does a+ work. ur car should be in good hands.

It's nothing to do about where they send the car to get it fixed, it's the question of trust. Can you actually trust them to handle it? Personally, the answer is no; I wouldn't trust them to watch my front lawn grow.

i'd trust them... but if u don't trust them i'm sure u can tell them that u want to drive ur car over to the shop to get fixed, thus leaving out the idea of someone beating on ur car. lot damage happens a lot believe it or not.... when i was working at nissan there was a car being sent over to the body shop almost everyweek due to a over packed lot.

edit... oh... and i'm sure if u want to take it to a shop of ur own as well... its just going to be more of a pain to get them to do it becuase it will cost the money

My vote is either take the bumper off and let them paint it or drop the car off yourself at the bodyshop they were going to use.

Look up the consumer "auto body" bill of rights... either you or the dealer have to get 3 estimates or something...

It isn't that I don't trust the paint job I'll get it's that I have a body shop that already has painted my car from other mishaps..(my car is cursed). Plus everyone at Steven's creek hates me and I don't doubt that they will do anything to get revenge from the time they curbed my rim.

tru that. I met a service tech at a party one time and he didnt know I had a Subaru and he told me about taking a STi out on a test drive to see what was wrong with it and just railing it into the ground. And whenever I go there the guys all show off how cool they are by telling me stories of shananagans they do in the subies...

Jeff's idea is pretty good: take the bumper off and send it to them to get painted, then you dont have to worry about them "taking revenge" - If you need help and/or a truck to haul off the bumper just holla!
