lol nah people have been making those forever, the one on Top Gear wasnt there till 2008 when Jeremy made it from the remains of one of his BMW challenge cars. The one above is the more traditional style with the pistons/rods holding up the table top.
Heres one from 2006

thanks!
yeah the one from 06 was my inspiration
thank you
thanks, i dont watch top gear, but i gather they have one too...
that would be sick. i was thinking of doing some honda engines as side tables
thanks
thought of this, but i wanted a bigger table. i think the v8 looks better anyhow.
yeah i have done bucket seats as video game seating...
thanks for the kind words
thanks, but no...lol
do it! its so satisfying. everyone has seen it online, but not many people actually have one.
this was my first plan, but i cant justify buying nice wheels to not put on my car, and stock wheels would be weak...
thanks
id say its about 80-90 lbs... not too bad, but easy with 2 ppl to move.

I'm planning to make one out of an old airplane radial for a circular coffee table. Maybe have a smaller diameter glass top where the propeller goes, and BOOM lazy susan for mah chinese famiry dinnah.
