I've owned 5 Z's so far. A 240z with a 2.8 swap, a 260z with a 383 SBC and a TH350 with no traction ever, a 280z that got crashed and the motor put into the 240z, and a pair of ZX's. The V8 swap is nothing new. Check out http://forums.hybridz.org/ for more info.

My mom had 3. The last one was mine. But before I was able to drive it the government "lost it" I was a ward of the state at the time so I pretty much figured they sold it. Cause I went to where it was and took a look at it and cleaned it up to start getting it ready for when I turned 16...less than a year later it was gone.

Bastards. was a very clean 71 240.

Someday I'll own one just like it. For my mom. rip.

I've had my fair share of Zs as well. a 72 240z, a 75 260z with an 81 2.8T swap, and an 82 280zx T(bought it with a popped motor) with a 350sbc, turbo 400, and a paxton, she was a blast until a tree jumped out in front of her on highway 9. Meanest swap I ever saw in Z was smallblock 396 in a 260 with a weiand blower, tremec T56, and HUGE tubs. That thing was just stupid fast.

I can't find the killer vid of the V8 powered Z car racing a bike and kicking it's teeth in.

The V8 conversion is pretty easy, even JC Whitney has a kit. There's even a few Z cars with a Q45 V8 in them. twin turbo Q45 V8 powered Z http://www.zparts.com/showcase/engin...z-testfit.html

cute one of a supercharged LT1 Z car http://ecahost.com/280z/vids/Darius-...outs_race.mpeg

I wanted one when I came back from Nam, but couldn't afford it. Very cool cars, the 350Z aren't bad either.
