well my friend has himself an rx-7, and he thinks hes hella tight and ****, the thing is..its an rx-7 FC..automatic..n/a, is that car any good? i think its a pos cuz it IS an auto and it isnt turbo and its..like 90 or 91..i dont know though..does he have a nice car? also..he calls his rx-7 a rex, i guess thats ok too right since rx..and wrx...have.."rex" in it.

Isn't the N/A RX-7 a FB? Also the non-turbo RX-7s were pretty reliable from what i heard.

 

Eh, for some reason I thought the FB's were the first gen and FC's second gen. I've been wrong once or once before, though.

 

anyone know the hp of the n/a rx-7? i tried looking it up but google keeps giving me turbo results and..maybe i just suck at searching.

 

fb's were the first generation rx7's. the n/a fc's are really reliable but just lack peformance and the fact that it's auto that just plain kills a car like that.

 

Series 4 (86-88) - n/a: 140?, turbo: 180, turbo model is only 2600 lb!
Series 5 (89-91) - n/a: 160?, turbo: 200, turbo model is 2800 lbs.

I might be a little off since it's been a while since I was into rx7's. FC's are TIGHT though. One hell of a car, it's only problem is it's like the 1G dsm's, getting old and ricketty!

i got a 90 gtu. its an n/a rx-7 and i use it as a cool commuter. i mean it still has the ***** to beat sohc civics or non vtec integras. it can red line like crazy, 8000 rpm. ill still spank it with my wrx but its a fun 2 seater. all in all its a great car to drive side ways
