I have to make a "Bill" for Poli Sci... suggestions?

Hey everyone, I am looking for some INTERESTING suggestions for a Bill. I will be presenting it in Power Point form later in the semester, but I have to present an abstract soon.

I don't want to write about anything bland such as abortion, death penalty, legalizing drugs etc.

Some of my ideas in short:

1. Make it easier for third parties to get votes.

2. Go back to the Gold Standard.

3. Make it harder to get a Drivers License.

Need some more ideas.

A license/Permit to have children. Some people should just not be allowed to breed.
*shrug* Just a suggestion...have no idea how it would work but the gov't seems to regulate everything else....

Word, IQ test before you have children, if you don't pass, its snip snip for you...oh and +1 for making it more difficult to get a driver's test. Instead of a passing grade as 70%, make it 90.

I know people with high IQ's that shouldn't breed either.

What do you all think about tougher sentencing for sex offenders?

In "modern" U.S. society, I do not think this is an option... unfortunately.

Longer sentences would be imposed on sex offenders or the death penalty.

I personally believe that child molesters and rapists should get automatic death sentencing.

A law to require a permit to buy an SUV. Permit based on need, use, and only allows x miles per year based on when it is needed for. The point of the bill would to lower the instances of sport utility vehicles being used as single-person commuter vehicles. Remember that driving is a privilege, not a law, so limiting the use of them infringes on no rights.

Tougher sentencing for sex offenders is good too. There is also a loophole to having to be put on the public list of offenders, maybe delve into that and propose making it that 100% of offenders on on public lists.

I thought about the SUV one, but honestly... I have problems limiting choice. A lot of Americans are FAT and need bigger seats... seriously.

The one pit fall with sex offenses is that streakers or kids "mooning" people can get put in these lists, but I do not believe they have the same intentions as someone blatantly exposing themselves at elementary school. It is hard to prove or disprove either direction in a court situation...

I hope you are joking. ha

If you are not, are you volunteering to be the first to trade in your car for one of these lower emitting vehicles, thus having your car crushed?
