Ok check this out lol I got stopped over by Rivermark in Santa Clara by Scpd. The cop got as far as the " Drivers license, Reg and proof of insurance" bit. As I ask permission to access my glove box he gets a call and says " be right back..." now I waited for a good hour maybe even a few min over and he didn't return. It is burning hot out here with my 8 year old Daughter, so I said eff it I'm ghost and left.

Is there some law that indicates how long someone should wait? Or should I be expecting this **** to show up on my driveway lol? I don't even know what it was I did wrong to get stopped. Just wanna know what you guys would have done in my situation. Leave a note on the street lamp post??

 

Well if he got your Info and didn't give a ticket right then and there. Expect it to be mailed to you in a few weeks. Or you could've just got lucky . I'm not sure if there is a waiting time. Why would you wait an hour anyways? That's just crazy lol.

 

If you don't know why he pulled you over and he left and didn't come back for an hour I think you will be fine.

You're fine as long as you're not on dash cam for a big violation lol. I call it safe plus you didn't get told anything! I've heard of cops leaving for more important call which is what they should be doing anyways! What was it you think you got popped for though?

He had a bet with another officer to see how long they could get someone to stay. You obviously won it for him or he would have chased you down and gave you a ticket

I had a similar situation about 5 years ago in my WRX. Early morning speeding, CHP pulls me over, he asks for my info, I give him everything, he comes back in a rush, gives me back my DL and rushes back to his car and takes off fast. Looks like he got a call so I was lucky.

 

My friend in HS ran a red light and was pulled over. As the cop was talking to him, he got a call for a drunk driver and said "you got lucky I have more important things to take care of..." then left. Lol

 

They had an urgent meeting where this is all this goofy **** on the walls with mozzarella sticks.
