This is truly a ****ty situation. You should see if your insurance company will sue the douche bag for your lost wages.

No since I tracked him down right after the accident its technically not hit and run. To tell you the truth I kinda feel sorry for him, hes screwed as far as insurance goes for a long time.

Thats a good idea. I wont contact MY insurance though. I'll contact Goodyear's insurance company and see what they can do to.

It is cool that you are alright... but it sucks that you are out of work... what are you going to do with all fo your free time?
If i were you, you should talk to your employer and ask them about their policy regarding accidents. I tell you what I will never drive the shop truck again Unless I have in writing that they will cover any lost wages due to accidents that AREN'T my fault.

I'm glad everything is ok with you Chris. Ah man I really thought your suby was in the accident and good thing it was company's truck that got jacked. After all that you boss wants to you to take a drug test. That's a load of bull.

If some idiot hit and tried to get away with it I would've done the same and chase after them and hit em also lol.

Yeah it's all good don't trip to hard about the drug test you know you weren't intoxicated weren't in the wrong and it's just company policy.

So when are getting you new turbo installed? You sell the syms wing yet?

sorry to hear, my job is very similar. We also drive the company cars. So one very stormy day one of my co-workers were parked in the parking lot when a piece of plywood flew into and shattered the window. long story short, he had to take a pee test and was supended for about a week. So i also hate driving company cars. Hope everything works out for you

you must be tested if your involved in a accident while on the clock no matter if it was your fault or not.

Talk to your insurance company. You should be able to sue the person who hit you directly for lost wages.

Robert,
probably during spring break.... but my girlfriend kinda has plans for us to take a cruise. So I'm not sure if i can fit it in. I know I cant install it during school session because I like like 16units and work about 35 hours a week.
and installing a turbo, injectors, and pump is probably going to take me about 6 hours

I'm not tripping about the test, I actually think its a great idea for employers to test employees who are involved in an accident. I do think however if the accident is not my fault and I was on a shop errand, and the drug test comes back negative. I shouldn't be punished and lose a weeks pay.

UPDATE
My store manager gave me a call today and told me he was going to work something out.
he said "Just calm down and I'll make sure you get paid, i dont know why you were acting so crazy"
I was thinking "well the only message you left for me on Monday was not to clock in, and take the drug test , and that I was suspended pending the results of the drug test" (he was off when I came in yesterday)
but I didnt say anything to him because I was in the deanza library when he called me. anyways I hope he comes through.

I bet you one thing .... If I kept my mouth shut, and didn't say anything about loosing a weeks pay, calling the regional manager, calling Goodyear human resources. I would most likely lose out on pay for sure.
I just hope my manager comes through

I guess what they say is true. the squeaky wheel gets the oil
