I got in car accident on last Friday. I was exiting of the 17 north.
I was on the third lane from the right with my turn signal on attempting to turn left onto Hamilton.
light turns green and when I was in the middle of the intersection turning left. I POS green Honda civic sedan EX. smashes into my left front fender ripping my bumper halfway off, and my left front headlight was hanging by the wiring harness.
He was in the second lane from the right and WAS supposed to turn left, but he decided he was going to go straight instead
After he hits me, he doesn't skip a beat and heads right trough the intersection. and I had to chase after him.
I block him in the frys parking lot and called the cops. I was in the shop truck (07 ford f150)
fortunately I was not in the suby :RockOn - not mine:
The cop shows up and tells the 16yr old looking kid. that its 100 percent his fault.
AT the time I was on the clock and doing an errand for the company
The bad new is that my employer (Goodyear) is making me take a drug test(hair test) and is not letting me come back to work until the test results come back.
WTF I was doing my job, and did nothing wrong what so ever. but now my employer not letting me comeback to work until results from the drug test comes back, thus I'm screwed out of about a weeks pay.
This sucks I need a better job with a employer that doesn't screw their employees.

Well the accident happened on Friday , and technically company policy is that you have to take a drug test within 24 hours. But my manager "played dumb" like he didnt know what good year policy was, because he needed me to work on Saturday (busy day). I talked to him after the accident and he has the police report stating that the accident was not my fault.
So when I came into work today, I was told not to clock in to go and take a drug test. All the guys in the shop agree with me, and feel the situation if F'd up
I spend over an hour calling Goodyear human resources dept and they say its just policy. I called my regional manager, he said I would get paid for 2 hours (the time it took for the drug test). I'm telling you this company is the biggest POS I had ever worked for.
I also contacted the other party's insurance and spoke to them about my loss of wages as a result of the accident. and they basically said they don't cover loss of wages by a result of an employer pending drug test results.
I never thought following a order from my service manager can cause me to lose a weeks wage.

 

yeah I hate working for douche bag employers too, but they work around my school hours. (I'm taking 16 units at deanza) and they give me about 35 hours a week. so I'm kinda stuck..... until I graduate
I also work there because I can get rack time on my days off to install parts. and its like literally 5 minutes from my place

 

then they would look for reasons to fire me after that. I would prefer to do this a nicer way.

yeah thats me. I work at the Goodyear on Basom. Thats my 05 wrx wingless, with the little i-club sticker on the left rear window.
I never saw a suby at the paint store. any pics?

Damn that sucks... that Kinda freaks me out cause I just started driving the company car at work today and it has hella blind spots.. I hope I don't get in an accident.

It is cool that you are alright... but it sucks that you are out of work... what are you going to do with all fo your free time?
