Sounds like it may have been one of the slower sharp right handers. Be grateful it wasn't a left hander that would've sent you off the cliff. I remember passing by at night and seeing towtruck and police looking off the cliff.....

I once let a turbo FD by on calaveras (like 5 years ago), and then thought I could catch him. He disappeared in the fog, and I was nearly flying off the cliff more times than i can count (i was a dumb *** back then, and didn't know anything about driving). I learned that:

at the time I sucked at driving
and
driving in the fog on calaveras could mean death, rather easily.

was it a white FD?

There are quite a few turns on Calaveras that stay wet and slick for a long time after a rain or heavy moisture. Basically, go easy in all right turns that are set in to the hills with tree cover.

I love how everyone is attempting to give me pointers as if i have never driven a car on Calveras Rd. Thank you everyone for your input but it is not needed.

Wet leaves..this reminds me of an Initial D episode where one of the characters commented on the wet leaves on the ground and those leaves did affect the outcome of the race. So I learned something from watching that anime!

Hey man it happens to everybody in one way or another. Life is full of mistakes and that make us better people. Every great car driver has crashed at least one or two cars in his time. Good luck with your car bro.

I drive caleveras a lot when traffic is bad. But thats in the daytime. And even then its dangerous.

Your ok and thats what counts. Cars come a dime a dozen, people dont.
