Teen deaths cap deadly weekend in Oregon
http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?id=81424
PORTLAND, Ore. - Three teenagers were killed Sunday after the Subaru they were in collided with a Ford Explorer, also driven by a teenager.
The crash happened shortly after midnight Sunday morning in the Sylvan area of Portland off of Highway 26, on South West Scholls Ferry Road.
Accident investigators found a large number of beer cans, both empty and full, in the Subaru.
Multnomah County Sheriff's spokesman Mike Shults says 17-year-old Gwendolyn Lindsay-Bradley and 17-year-old Moriah Hathaway both were killed. They attended Beaverton High School.
The Subaru's driver was also killed. He was 19-year-old Jonathan Medina, of California.
Shults says Medina failed to negotiate a turn on the curvy road. He hit an oncoming Ford Explorer, driven by a 17-year-old who received minor injuries.
The driver of the Ford was treated and released from a Portland hospital.
Investigators are trying to determine if Medina was recklessly speeding.
The accident capped a deadly holiday weekend in Oregon as seven people lost their lives across the state in four different accidents.
The toll is the same as last year, according to police statistics.

This makes me remember the sign that Jeremey once pointed out on these boards "Buzzed driving is drunk driving"
Atleast the person in the Ford wasn't hurt badly though, RIP for the 2 passengers of the Suby.
