doesn't the 04 STi come with the 'immobilizer' thing so can't be stolen without the chipped key?

Why does it have an 05 interior?

 

i beleive only 05 and up came with that feature...thats why you can only buy those cool sti keys for the 04

 

04's had the cool JDM STi key.

05's got the chipped key.

Hmmmm....salvage title and only mod being a BOV.

I would pass.

Plus, unless you are paying straight up cash, not many financial institutions will do a car loan on a salvage title (not sure about insurance).

Seller list only the interior was stolen and the wheels.....he stated that the body panels are all original...but makes me wonder why would a theif just steal the interior and leave the engine alone??

 

Looks like an '04 w/ '05 center console. The steering wheel is the '04 steering wheel.

If you are really considering this car, I suggest you go see it and have Paul @ DBTuned check it out. I think his shop is in that area.

 

If he did the interior restoration after the theft recovery, ask for records/receipts. Also carfax check it of course....even though a theft recovery may not show up on the report depending on the jurisdiction (i.e. some PD's are lazy...cough SFPD cough).
