I am looking for a kill switch

Hey I'm looking to install a kill switch or kill switch/relay system, anyone know where to find something like this?

search hot rod parts magazines and websites...I'm puttingtwo in my 53'.

like this one.

Nac's Racing has them for ATV's/motorcycles..same system really.

You can do a fuel pump or battery.

The battery deal is cool cause they can't start it. The fuel...they can drive as far as what's in the lines....or in the carb on old cars.

I might do both.

Depending on what you need it for, a Phoenix Gold breaker relay could work too, as well as serve as a protection device. When it trips, you click it back similar to a household breaker. To 'disconnect' simply press the TEST button.

well, initially, I installed it because I wanted to have a starter switch to start my car .....but after I got it all working, I realized that it would really **** off someone that was trying to steal my car. So yea, I guess it would be a anti-theft device too.

It's stop a thief for all of 2 seconds, just long enough for him to see the large red switch on the dash.

actually no.....considering that the switch wont do a damn thing if a thief switches it.......and if a thief tried to hotwire the car, well, the car STILL wont start. unless he knows the secret trunk monkey car start dance. Plus the switch is not labeled so, it could be for my NAAAAWWWWZ.

edit: About 3 months ago, a friend wanted to drive my car.....so I handed him my keys, and told him that if he can start the car, he can drive it.......after about 5 minutes of messing with it.....he gave up. Besides, its not supposed to prevent my car from being stolen, its just a deterrent (sp?). If someone wants it bad enough, they will find a way, that goes for anything.

If a bad guy steals your car, do you really want it back?
I don't.

I'd want it back.. well.. if it's not in pieces. But I would get the insurance to get me a new engine and a transmission (because it all of a sudden gives out on me ) hehe

Ooo! I want to get one too. will it work for a car that has a immobilizer function on the alarm?

/\ I dont see why it wouldn't work, but it may render your immobilizer function useless. Its basically the same idea as an immobilizer except its always "immobilized", even after you push the button on your remote to disarm.

edit: and yes, I'd want my car back too if it wasn't wrecked or totally stripped.
