There are no camera's on those ramps on 580 and people constantly run the carpool lanes on those ramps.

I did not know this. I guess that explains their conspicuous absence. Otherwise CA would be all over that revenue generating opportunity.

The last time I ran a light was a couple years ago. I was driving to the airport to pick someone up really late at night and I was super tired. I was distracted and didn't even notice I was going through an intersection. Blew right through the red light at 45mph. That could have been real bad.
Then right after that I went to turn left into a gas station and drove right over the curb/medial. Doh!

 

I heard they are going to be putting up cameras for on-ramp metering lights within the next couple of years. I think it was something like 100+ on-ramps around the bay area will be getting them.

 

you should be good. I use to do this everyday, I didn't think I should have to wait forever only to enter the 237 to get right off of it, I mean what ******* didn't put a side street right there? SO I would always bomb thru the carpool light. ALso those carpool lights don't even work correctly in a lot of areas, theres no way you could get a ticket without a pig there.
