Hydraulic jack reccomendations

So my cheapo harbor freight jack is leaking hydraulic fluid all over the place. I guess it's time to replace it, not going to bother trying to fix that thing.

Anyone got a reccomendation for a decent jack that won't break the bank?

WTF? That many harbor freight recommendations? That make sense for using at an Auto X and Rally X where stuff is gonna get dirty and tore up. Use a cheap one that you can just toss when it does give up.

But for at home... buy quality jacks. Harbor Freight is great for one time use or limited use type stuff. But anything you use on a regular basis... get something else.

unless you are willing to pay $$$ the harbor freight ones will be your best bet. Most jacks I have seen for less than $500 are all similarly made chinese models.

I love my $100 Arcon jack that I bought from Costco. It's about 100lbs, so it's strictly a garage/home jack. Also, according to others online, you can return/exchange it with Costco if it ever breaks.

I know that the Costco off Automation Parkway has a ton of them in stock.

Someone here recommended this one to me and it is still a great deal. I love this jack and use it all the time. Includes a free pair of jack stands. Cannot beat this one for the price. They make low profile ones as well, but they cost more.

+1 to what OMA said. I bought the 3 ton Harbor Freight and it failed within a few months, basically the third time I used it. Once I left the car on the jack with stands under it - went to the store to get a bolt and came back and the jack was on the floor, car sitting on the stands. I bought the warranty with it and they gave me a full refund. I won't use their jacks in the garage ever again.

Are those Omega jacks made in the USA? If it lasts, then it might well be worth the price, better than buying a HF jack every 6 months XD
